⚙️ How It Works

How does CentralNest generate an inventory from a video?+

The customer records a video walkthrough of their home using any smartphone, no app download required. Our AI computer vision model analyses the footage, identifies items per video, and generates a detailed inventory automatically.

You then receive the full inventory in your CentralNest portal, where you can review, edit, or add items before turning it into a quote.

What does the customer experience look like?+

Once you activate your plan, you will receive a branded link (with your company name). Your customers click the link, follow simple on-screen instructions to record a room-by-room video walkthrough, and submit it. The whole process takes 10–15 minutes on their phone.

No app installation, no technical knowledge required.

How long does it take to get a quote after the video is submitted?+

Typically under 5 minutes. Once your customer submits their video, our AI processes the footage and generates a full room-by-room inventory. You'll receive a notification and can review and send the quote immediately.

Can I edit the inventory before sending the quote?+

Yes, absolutely. You always have full control. Add items the AI may have missed (e.g. items in closed rooms), remove items, adjust quantities, or add notes. The AI does the heavy lifting, you make the final call.

How accurate is the AI inventory?+

CentralNest's AI is trained specifically on household items and residential removal jobs. Our accuracy is comparable to, and in many cases exceeds, a trained human surveyor doing a standard walkthrough.

All inventories are fully editable before you send the quote, so you always have the final say on what's included.

What happens if the video quality is poor or rooms are very cluttered?+

Our AI is trained to handle a wide range of real-world conditions including variable lighting, cluttered spaces, and different camera angles. Where confidence is lower, items are flagged for your review rather than being silently missed.

We also provide customers with simple guidance on how to record a good walkthrough, this alone significantly improves results.

Can the AI detect specialist or fragile items?+

Yes. CentralNest is trained to identify and flag specialist items such as pianos, antiques, artwork, large appliances, and items requiring disassembly. These are highlighted in the inventory so you can apply appropriate pricing and packing notes.

🚀 Getting Started

Do I need to install any software?+

No. CentralNest is entirely web-based. You and your team access it through any web browser on a desktop, tablet, or smartphone. Your customers also receive a simple browser-based link, no app required on either side.

How long does onboarding take?+

Most customers are up and running within a single day. All plans include a free onboarding call with our team, where we walk you through the platform, help you customise your quote template, and answer any questions.

Does CentralNest integrate with my existing CRM or quoting software?+

Every quote generated by CentralNest can be downloaded in PDF, CSV, or JSON format. These are the standard formats accepted by virtually all CRM and job management systems, so importing your quotes and inventory data is straightforward with no technical setup required.

PDF is ideal for sharing with customers or attaching to your records. CSV works seamlessly with Excel and most CRM import tools. JSON is perfect if you have a developer or a more technical workflow.

💷 Pricing

Is there a free pilot?+

Yes. All plans include a 7-day free pilot with full access to all features on your chosen plan. Before your annual contract begins, you can test the platform on real jobs with no obligation to continue.

What counts as an "AI quote"?+

One AI quote is counted when a customer submits a video and our AI generates the inventory. You can edit the inventory and resend or revise the quote as many times as you like, this does not use additional quote credits.

Can I cancel at any time?+

All plans are on a 12-month contract. Before your contract begins, you get a 7-day free pilot with full access. If it's not the right fit, you can walk away with no obligation. Once your contract is active, you can upgrade to a higher plan at any time, and renewals can be cancelled at your next annual renewal date.

🔒 Data & Security

Is my customers' data safe?+

Yes. CentralNest is built on secure, UK-compliant cloud infrastructure. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Customer videos are stored securely and used only for inventory generation, they are never shared with third parties or used to train our AI models without consent.

Is CentralNest GDPR compliant?+

Yes. CentralNest is fully compliant with UK GDPR. We act as a data processor for the personal data your customers share through the platform. You act as the data controller. Our Privacy Policy and a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) are available on request.

How long is customer video data retained?+

Videos are retained for 90 days by default, after which they are automatically deleted. You can request earlier deletion at any time. The inventory and quote generated from the video are retained as part of your account record for as long as your account remains active.
